Privacy Policy

        In short: Your inventory lives on your device. Kutufy
        has no user accounts and no servers of its own, and we do not collect,
        sell, or share your inventory data. If you subscribe to Kutufy Pro, the
        payment is handled by your app store — we never see your payment details.

Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to the Kutufy mobile application and the Kutufy web app (collectively, the "App"). It explains what information the App handles and how. In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to the developer of Kutufy named above.

Information stored on your device

Kutufy has no user accounts and no Kutufy-operated backend. The inventory you create is stored only in your device's local storage (IndexedDB) and does not leave your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself. This includes:

The locations, boxes, and items you create, including their names, descriptions, and quantities.
Photos you choose to attach to items.

We do not collect this inventory data, and we cannot access or recover it, because it never reaches us.

Information handled when you use the App

A few things necessarily happen outside your device when you install or use the App. These are handled by third parties under their own privacy policies, not by Kutufy:

App store and downloads. If you install the App from an app store (for example, Google Play), that store processes your download and device information under its own privacy policy.
Purchases (Kutufy Pro). Kutufy Pro is an optional paid subscription. If you subscribe, your payment is processed entirely by your app store's billing system. We do not receive or store your name, card, or payment details; we only receive the store's confirmation of whether a subscription is active so we can unlock Pro features.
Web app hosting. Like any website, loading the Kutufy web app sends basic technical information (such as your IP address) to our hosting provider so the page can be delivered. We do not use this information to identify or track you, and we do not combine it with your inventory data.

Camera and photos

The App requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photo to an item. Photos are stored locally on your device together with your inventory data. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Data export and import

You can export all of your data to a file at any time and import it again later. When you export, the file is created on your device and you control where it is saved or shared. Kutufy does not receive a copy of your exported data.

If you email us

When you contact us at the address below, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We ask you not to attach a backup file unless we specifically request one. If you do send a backup, it contains your inventory — including photos — and we become responsible for that copy: we use it solely to investigate the problem you reported, we do not share it with anyone, and we delete it, together with the message it came with, once the problem is resolved.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Kutufy does not include any analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or third-party tracking tools, and does not build user profiles. We do not share your inventory data with third parties.

Data retention and deletion

Because your inventory is stored only on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete any location, box, or item inside the App at any time, and the App also lets you reset and wipe all of its data. Deleting the App from your device removes the inventory data stored by it. For information handled by your app store or our hosting provider, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK), you may have rights over personal data relating to you. Because we do not collect or hold identifiable personal data on our own servers, most requests concerning your inventory are things you can carry out directly within the App. If you have a request or question about your privacy, you can contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Kutufy is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to make them noticeable.
